Our clients acquired a listed property comprising a large house, separate outhouses and a standalone coach house and stable block with horse exercise areas. The buildings are set on a south facing slope within which is a stream and fishponds.
Our brief for the main house was to part refurbish it internally with new bathroom and dressing room, and extend the lower floor by the use of a small conservatory.
The coach house was altered to incorporate an open plan office area at first floor, with a new double door opening and concealed balcony providing an uninterrupted view southward over the countryside below.
Set into this sloping land we set an open air swimming pool with surrounding steps and associated plant room.
