The Masbro Centre is a multi - function community centre providing a broad range of services including a Creche, Youth Group, Adult Education classes including life drawing, photography and sculpture, Yoga, sports training and a Media Cafe. The OpShop is a regeneration initiative promoting training and employment opportunities.
The Centre is based in a rambling building facing onto Milson Road and Masbro Road.
The initial project undertaken in 2003 involved cleaning or painting these facades, the replacement of metal windows with new, the replacement of a heavy timber screen entrance with a new glazed screen, external lighting and general tidying up of the facades. The new glazed screen was particularly important in making the Centre appear more accessible and bringing light into the inner courtyard area'.
