Private residences: The Chartered Practice Architects Ltd. has a considerable experience in architectural design and assisting with the construction of domestic extensions and alterations. These range from small single storey rear additions to basements and loft conversions/extensions to both houses and flats, in the UK and abroad. Some projects have involved extensions over several floors, dramatically increasing the size and facility of the original dwellings. Some have included swimming pools outbuildings and landscaping. The Practice has developed specific skills to aid the reorganisation and maximization of the potential of domestic properties, in line with our clients aspirations and available budgets. We do not impose a house style but prefer to operate a responsive design approach to meet the demands of each specific project. The Practice also has particular expertise in obtaining difficult planning permissions especially where there are contentious matters regarding over development and/or sensitive conservation or historic building issues. The Practice is committed to sustainable construction development. In addition, the Practice can assist with all aspects of related construction issues, including resolving technical matters to achieve Building Regulations approval, the organisation of new services including alternative technologies, assisting with Party Wall agreements, project planning and programming, and administering building contracts.
